Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about Sovereign.
How Sovereign works
No. Sovereign is a capital allocation engine. Your EA executes locally on your MT5 broker with Kelly sizing, consensus gating, and hard risk caps. You maintain full custody of your funds at all times. There is no LPOA, no fund transfer, and no third-party access to your account.
Each model analyzes markets independently — momentum, mean reversion, trend, volatility, and macro. Capital is only deployed when consensus exists across models. This prevents single-model failure. When fewer than 3 models agree, the system stays flat.
24 instruments across forex majors (EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDJPY, etc.), indices (US30, USTEC, US500, GER40, UK100, JPN225), precious metals (XAUUSD, XAGUSD), and select crypto pairs (BTCUSD, ETHUSD). The system dynamically allocates across these based on model consensus and regime state.
Hard limit at 10% from equity peak. All positions close automatically. No override exists — not for you, not for us. This is built into the EA architecture, not a configurable setting.
Sovereign detects market regime states — trending, ranging, volatile, or compressing — and adjusts allocation accordingly. In high-uncertainty or transition environments, the system reduces exposure or goes flat entirely. It detects regimes; it does not predict them.
Kelly sizing determines how much capital to allocate per position based on current edge strength. When the edge is strong, position size expands. When it weakens, size compresses. The system sizes every position — you never choose a lot size manually.
Approximately 42% of the time. The system is flat for the remaining 58%. Waiting for consensus is the strategy — most losses in trading come from taking positions that shouldn't have been taken.
Performance and data
All performance reflects the reference execution environment. Institutional allocation accounts operate under confidentiality mandates. Aggregate network statistics — including total deployed capital and number of live accounts — are published.
Allocation agreements with fund participants include confidentiality provisions. This is standard institutional practice. We publish the reference execution data and aggregate network metrics to maintain transparency within these constraints.
The live dashboard updates every 30-60 seconds when markets are open. Monthly returns and key metrics are calculated and archived at month-end. Open positions and floating P&L reflect near real-time data.
Maximum drawdown to date is -3.08% (September-October 2025). The 10% hard cap has never been tested beyond 31% of its limit. The worst single month was -1.60% (September 2025).
Individual results will vary based on broker execution quality, spreads, slippage, swap rates, and entry/exit timing. The reference execution environment represents the signal source — your results depend on your broker and infrastructure.
Account setup and technical
Any MT5 broker. We recommend Raw Spread or ECN accounts for optimal execution. IC Markets, Pepperstone, FP Markets, and Fusion Markets are commonly used by participants. Your broker, your account, your custody.
MT5 platform running on a VPS (recommended) or desktop with stable internet. The Sovereign EA must run 24/5 during market hours. We provide VPS recommendations and setup guides as part of onboarding.
We recommend $50,000+ for Sovereign and $100,000+ for Sovereign Pro to benefit from Kelly sizing granularity. Smaller accounts can use the Free Preview to audit the system before committing capital.
Typically 15-30 minutes. Install the Sovereign EA on your MT5, configure your risk parameters, connect to the allocation system. Step-by-step onboarding documentation is provided immediately after approval.
No. The EA is pre-compiled and configured. You install it on your MT5 chart and the system handles everything — model analysis, consensus, sizing, and execution. No MQL5 knowledge required.
Pricing and billing
Alignment. Performance fees incentivize risk-taking — the manager wins big when they swing for the fences, but you bear the loss when they miss. Flat fees incentivize consistent, governed allocation. Your profits are 100% yours.
Yes. No lock-in. No exit fees. No penalties. Cancel through your account dashboard at any time. Your EA will stop receiving allocation signals at the end of your billing period.
The Free Preview gives full visibility into live performance — equity curve, monthly returns, drawdown tracking, open positions. Audit the system as long as you need. When ready, apply for execution access.
Credit/debit card and cryptocurrency (USDT, BTC, ETH). Billed monthly or annually. Annual billing saves 20%.
Pro includes priority rebalancing, custom risk tolerance configuration, quarterly strategy reports, and direct access to the allocation team. Recommended for accounts above $100K where personalized risk parameters matter.
Risk and compliance
Yes. All trading involves substantial risk of loss. Sovereign manages risk through consensus gating, Kelly sizing, and a hard 10% drawdown cap — but it does not eliminate risk. Past performance is not indicative of future results. Never trade with money you cannot afford to lose.
No. AlgoTD provides capital allocation technology. We do not provide personalized financial, investment, or trading advice. Users should consult qualified financial advisors for personal financial decisions.
AlgoTD is a technology provider, not a broker, fund manager, or registered investment advisor. Your capital remains in your own brokerage account under your custody at all times. CFTC RULE 4.41 applies to all performance data shown.
The EA has multiple safety mechanisms: if it loses connection to the allocation server, no new trades are placed. Existing positions maintain their stop-loss levels. The 10% hard drawdown cap operates locally on your EA regardless of server connectivity.
